Alone song seemed to tell the story of someone (songwriter) who was sad because they had to part with the person he loved. Therefore, the songwriter always remembers moments of being with his loved ones so that he does not feel alone anymore and apart from his sadness. Not together, but still united, even though only through a memory and memories, that is the essence of the song if interpreted simply
